Flotation Device (n) rescue equipment to keep a person from drowning
(or a book of magical things)

One thing that terrible events always drive home is the drive for humans to rescue each other.
Some people are on the front lines of hospitals, hospices, and clinics, working to save lives, but others are stepping up in different ways, all trying to help each other, to extend a hand in these awful times.
And it is in this spirit that author and SFF podcaster E.M. Faulds came up with a project designed to help raise funds for charities who are making a difference right now, and need all the help they can get.
FLOTATION DEVICE is a wonderful collection of twenty stories donated by the members of the Glasgow SF Writers' Circle.
With stories from top Glaswegian writers, including Hal Duncan, Neil Williamson, Ruth EJ Booth, Brian M. Milton, Shona Kinsella, Elaine Gallagher, Heather Valentine, Ian Hunter and more.
This collection of the fantastic, the funny, creepy and the downright weird aims to raise money for three selected charities: Médecins Sans Frontières/Doctors Without Borders, The Trussell Trust (UK foodbanks), and Simon Community Scotland (alleviates homelessness in Scotland)
All the writers have donated either new works or reprints, and this gorgeous cover was illustrated by author and artist Jenni Coutts, who also has a story available in the collection.

In order to make sure as much of the money raised can go directly to the charities, FLOTATION DEVICE is only available through the website and after PayPal and banking transfer fees, every penny will go to charity.
